The Blue Point Volunteer Exempt Fireman's Benevolent Association has assisted members since its inception in 1977. The benevolent provides members with basic life insurance, a yearly medical benefit and assistance in times of need. The Benevolent is funded from a portion of NY state fire insurance and the dues and donations of the members and community. Founded in the 1970's the organization remains an important part of Blue Point volunteer firefighters lives and is part of a larger organization (AFBA) Island wide. Members may now pay a one time lifetime dues or continue to contribute annually.
